PURPOSE:To enable recording with excellent long-time or short-time dissolution stability to heat, by providing as a recording liquid a liquid composition which comprises as a recording agent a water-soluble dye synthesized from m- phenylenediamine, and setting the content of m-phenylenediamine in the composition to or below a specified concentration. CONSTITUTION:A liquid composition which comprises as a recording agent a water-soluble dye synthesized from m-phenylenediamine is used as a recording liquid, in a recording method wherein liquid droplets formed by applying thermal energy to the recording liquid is applied to a recording material to perform recording. It is necessary to set the content of m-phenylenediamine in the composition to or below 1000ppm. By this, it is possible to secure thermal stability sufficient for practical use. |
