PURPOSE:To stably lead out an electrode by using a photosensitive resin having a phenol novolak epoxy resin as the skeleton as an overcoat layer. CONSTITUTION:Three-color filters of green, red, and blue are successively formed on a substrate 1 by the relief dyeing method, and a polymer resulting from reaction between a phenol novolak epoxy resin and dicarboxylic acid anhydride is coated on color filters 6 so that the film thickness of this polymer after drying is about 1mum, and this film is exposed to ultraviolet rays and unexposed parts are developed and removed to form a protective layer 2. A conductive electrode plate 4 is laminated by the ion plating technique and a thin metallic film 5 is laminated by vapor-deposition, and they are successively patterned by wet etching, thus obtaining a display device electrode plate for color liquid crystal. Thus, a removed part is provided in an arbitrary plate to stably and directly lead out the electric conduction between a transparent electrode and an external lead from the transparent electrode laminated on the glass substrate. |
