PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality color image by using a gaseous He-Ne laser as a blue light source. CONSTITUTION:The light beams released from light sources 1B, 1G, 1R are respectively subjected to beam intensity modulation according to digital color image signals separated to three colors and blue, green and red data in optical modulators 2B, 2G, 2R. The blue, green and red data are respectively subjected to D/A conversion in D/A converters 4B, 4G, 4R. The data are then sent to the optical modulators 2B, 2G, 2R. The light beams of the respective colors modulated by the optical modulators 2B, 2G, 2R are synthesized and are adjusted in optical axes by mirrors, then the beams are condensed through a lens 11 and are projected to a color photosensitive material 13 wound on a drum 12. The gaseous He-Ne laser is used as the blue light source 1B in this embodiment. The high-quality color image is thereby formed. |
