PURPOSE:To permit an editor to supply meaning information to an user so as to urge an accurate input in terms of meaning by collecting information required for the input of a source text from within the source text which the editor has previously inputted and displaying it. CONSTITUTION:The editor has a text 11 being the object of editing, a construction information 13 which is the result of analyzing the text for editing 11 by an analysis part 12, declaration information 14 and scope information 15 as internal data. Construction information 13 is used for urging the user for the accurate input in terms of construction and for inspecting the constructional correctness of the input. An effective declaration information generation part 16 generates effective declaration information 17 showing which declaration is effective when the user intends to input by using declaration information 14 and scope information 15, and an effective declaration information display/ editing part 102 displays and edits names which can be inputted and the declaration information by using an effective declaration information display/editing window. Thus, the accurate input in terms of meaning can be urged.
