Wire hold-down spring for brake shoes of disc brakes

The invention relates to a wire hold-down spring arrangement for brake shoes of disc brakes, in which a first pair of limbs of the hold-down spring is provided to support the spring on the brake housing and a second pair of limbs arranged cross-wise to the first pair is provided to allow the spring to rest on the brake shoes. The object of the invention is to support a spring of this kind as simply and reliably as possible within the brake housing. For this purpose, the invention proposes to support end portions of a first limb in holes with a fully closed circumference. To secure the spring at the points of support, the invention furthermore proposes to provide a projection which is connected to the housing and projects between the end loops of the first limb adjoining the end portions and to arrange the spring in such a way that it can be pivoted about the cut-outs for purposes of removal. To avoid corrosion, the invention furthermore proposes a pin-shaped extension, which is connected to the aluminium brake housing and against which the second limb of the spring arrangement is supported. <IMAGE>
