PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity by incorporating a mixture composed of a perylene pigment and cyclodextrin as a charge generating pigment into a photosensitive layer and orienting the perylene pigment in a direction except to the photosensitive surface. CONSTITUTION:The mixture in which the perylene pigment and the cyclodextrin exist at 100:0.5-100:80 weight ratio as the charge generating pigment is incorporated into the photosensitive layer and the perylene pigment is oriented in the direction except to the photosensitive surface. The orientation of the pigment in the fixed direction is enabled by using the mixture composed of the perylene pigment and the cyclodextrin as the charge generating layer in such a manner and forming the photosensitive layer under the influence of an electric field. The sensitivity is thereby improved. |
