PURPOSE: To obtain such a three-dimensional display system that the sizes of a displayed image and a screen are determined by the sizes of a disk and a motor without any adverse influence of G by moving the whole screen along a Z axis in synchronism with the scanning of an X-Y image. CONSTITUTION: The light beam from a laser device 7 is modulated by a modulator 4 to obtain a modulated light beam 3 which is made incident on a mirror body 42 driven by scanning devices 20 and 22 attached to an X-Y scanning device 5. The scanning device 5 makes a scan on a rotary screen 1 with the light beam of an X-Y plane through the mirror body 42, and the rotating speed of the screen 1 is synchronized with the scanning speed of the scanning device 5. Therefore, when the scanning speed of the scanning device 5 and the rotating speed of the screen 1 are both large, the light beam which is made incident on the screen 1 at an arbitrary point moves sufficiently fast along the Z axis to appear as one complete line. Consequently, a three-dimensional display having depth determined by the angle of the screen is obtained. Consequently, the sizes of the screen and image are determined by the sizes of the disk and motor and the adverse influence of G is not exerted. Thus, the three-dimensional display system is obtained. |
