PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution and to reduce the man-hours for optical axis adjustment by setting the angle of deflection of an acoustooptic element or electrooptic element so that an optical scanning speed of a scanning surface becomes invariably constant. CONSTITUTION:The angle of deflection of the acoustooptic element or electrooptic element 3 is so set that the optical scanning speed on the scanning surface 6 is invariably constant. Namely, luminous flux emitted by a light source is collimated by a 1st lens system 2 into parallel light. This luminous flux is incident on the acoustooptic element 3, deflected by the acoustooptic element 3 according to a scanning angle by a predetermined pattern, and adjusted so that the scanning speed of a spot on the scanning surface 6 is constant. The deflected luminous flux is converged by a 2nd lens system 4 and passed through a rotary polygon mirror 5 to form an image on the scanning surface 6. Consequently, the structure is simplified and the man-hours for adjustment are reduced. |
