A slide-potentiometer unit for installation as a control transmitter in remote-control transmitters has two slides which are guided parallel, one slide acting as a control transmitter (potentiometer slide) and the other slide acting as a marker slide which has a fixing device but no control function. This marker slide allows a predetermined position to be preset on the sliding path, which position corresponds, for example, to a specific flight position of the controlled flying model, when the potentiometer slide is pushed into a position which is aligned with the marker slide. In order to set the desired position of the potentiometer slide, the user now need only move it such that it is aligned with the marker slide, which is very easy and is possible just by means of the sense of touch, and the pilot's view and attention no longer need be diverted from the model.
