The yarns in each picture line (10, 11) are produced in layers the length of which is a multiple of a yarn section. The various y arn layers (50) are superimposed, glued together and then sectioned perpendicular to the yarn direction to form picture fields which are glued to a protective plate (2) and set in a frame.
