The object of the invention is to produce an operationally reliable solution for the low-pressure combination of vessels which does not entail any reduction in conveying speed. This object is achieved in that the vertical distance to the conveying direction decreases constantly between the railings and this reduction follows the laws of an exponential function. The invention is used for the preordering of vessels and relates to a wide-gate conveyor and a narrow-gate conveyor which are each equipped with a drive motor which operates independently of the other one, and a transition zone, in which the wide-gate conveyor and the narrow-gate conveyor are arranged immediately alongside one another and two rigid railings, which are situated in the region of the transition zone.
