A toggle-lever-operated snap-action spring switch having at least one snap-action spring whose tongues are stressed on limbs of a connecting piece, and having an operating device for the snap-action spring. The technical problem is to match a snap-action spring switch to toggle-lever operation. In this case, in addition, it is intended to simplify the assembly of the toggle-lever switch by the functional part of the switch being capable of insertion into a housing and into guides in said housing, without additional aids. A spring tongue (16) which is constructed like a frame is held on a first limb (13) of the connecting piece (11), and a central spring tongue (17), which projects into the frame cutout, is held on a second limb (14) of the connecting piece (11). A slide (9) can be displaced transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of the snap-action spring (15) and rests against the frame-like spring tongue (17). A foot (7) of the toggle lever (6) engages in the slide (9), as an operating device. <IMAGE>
