<p>PURPOSE:To omit a separate driving source for a solenoid, etc., in a sheet feeding device by switching over the contact and separation between a pickup roller and a sheet on a paper feeding tray by the rotating direction of the motor of the pickup roller. CONSTITUTION:The contact and separation between the pickup roller 13 of a sheet feeding device 1 and a sheet S on a paper feeding tray 2 can be switched over by the rotating direction of a motor 21. Supporting boards 11 for supporting the roller 13 are rotatably supported by a shaft 10 provided at a certain interval separated from the roller 13. Hence, as the motor 21 rotates the roller 13 in one direction, the roller 13 is separated from the tray 2, enabling the loading of sheets S on the tray 2. As the motor 21 rotates the roller 13 in the other direction, the roller 13 is brought into contact with the sheet S on the tray 2 to feed the sheet S.</p> |
