PURPOSE:To provide a double twister furnished with a means for inputting a preset twist number, a means for measuring the rotational speed of a spindle, a means for measuring the yarn speed, a particular operation means and a speed-varying means operated by the output of the above means, capable of accurately changing the twisting number and enabling the production of a variety types of products in small quantities. CONSTITUTION:When a desired twisting number (T) is inputted through an input board 64, a yarn speed (Y) is calculated in a control board 65 according to the formula Y=2S/T based on the twisting number (T) and the rotational speed (S) of the spindle. The output of a control motor 58 of a variable speed belt apparatus 50 is controlled in such a manner as to attain a yarn speed equal to the calculated value. |
