PURPOSE:To lessen irregularity in concentration of a recording image, by establishing a counter for dots of main scan one line contents, a ROM storing a correction coefficient corresponding to a resistance value of a heating element, and a ROM storing a gradation data of one pixel and a correction gradation data corresponding to the correction coefficient. CONSTITUTION:An image data 1 to be recorded has intermediate tone information of one pixel expressed in 8 bits, and is inputted to a reference table ROM 3 as an upper-order address via a latch 2. Besides, a bit counter 5 outputs a counter data 7 corresponding to the image data 1 by input of a shift clock 4. When the counter data 7 is inputted to a resistance value correction ROM 8 as an address, a correction coefficient 9 stored in a corresponding address is outputted, and is inputted to the reference ROM3 as a lower-order address. Thus, a correction image data 10 stored in the address is outputted. Thereafter, this correction value data 10 undergoes gray scale-pulse width conversion and is sent to a thermal head of a recording part, and recording of one line contents is performed. Therefore, irregularity in concentration of a recording image can be lessened. |
