<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the installing space of a copying machine by housing a paper feeding cassette in a body in such a condition that the paper feeding cassette does not project out of the side of a body at the time of operating the copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding device consists of a paper feeding cassette 22, a paper feed roller 23, sending rollers 24, guides 25, etc. Record papers in the paper feeding cassette which are pressed against the paper feed roller 23 by means of a spring 26 are sent out of the paper feeding cassette 22 by means of the paper feed roller 23 and then, sent by means of the sending rollers 24 and guides 25 and, after passing through a sensitive body 1 and a thermal fixing device 21, discharged onto a paper discharge table 27. In this example, the paper feeding cassette 22 can be inserted into or removed from a body from a certain face (on the face on this side perpendicular to the figure) of an operation indicating portion. Hence, it is not necessary for an operator to approach the back side and the side on which no paper discharging table exists.</p> |
