The device is for compartmentally collecting pieces of timber at a collector station. In the compartments, the timber can be held and subsequently sent further on their way via a conveyor system situated under the compartments. Each compartment is made up of flexible bands which form ever-increasing 'pouches' as more timber floats in. Their floors are made of parallel bars and are pivoted at one end whilst being held up at the other by the compartment bands. These bands are loosened from their roller devices in such a way that the floors when swung down, form part of the whose of one of the compartments vertical sides, the other being formed in whose by the band, whose one end is fastened to the floor via a lock arrangement. The collected timber is let down onto the conveyor system via further extension of the band, whose end is then unfastened from the floor which moves back ot its original position, together when the band. |
