<p>PURPOSE:To surely separate a sheet paper and miniaturize and lighten a device in a paper feeding device for continuously feeding a large quantity of sheets of paper to an image forming device by providing a separating claw on the end portion of sheets of paper on an elevator tray. CONSTITUTION:As a copying operation is started, a paper feed roller 33 is rotated in the arrow X direction and at this time, the end of the upper portion of sheet papers 24 is pressed against a separating claw 32 by means of a spring 32 for energizing an elevator tray 31 upward in a condition of being retained by the separating claw 32, and only the sheet paper 24 on the top position is forcedly delivered in the direction of a guide plate 34 by means of a paper feed roller 33. Further, the sheet paper 24 comes off of the separating claw 32 and fed into register rollers 21 through a sheet paper guide portion 22a. By repeating such an operation, the sheet papers 24 are separated one sheet at a time from the top of the elevator tray 31 and fed in order. On the other hand, the tray 31 is lifted up by the amount of the reduced sheets 24 by the action of a motor 28 via a wire 27.</p> |
