An article display stand comprises a number of article supporting tiers T1-T3 slidable via bushes 30, 40 on a vertical or horizontal rod 2, each tier comprising two spaced support plates 4, 5; 6, 7,; 8, 9 respectively provided with pins 12 entering apertures 15 in the merchandise 10 to secure it. The plates of each tier are slidably inter-connected by rods 20 having end abutments 22, 23 and the plates of adjacent tiers are held together by bushes 30. On progressively raising lever 64 a link 66 first lifts end-plate 4 to abutment 23 allowing merchandise to be lifted off pins 12 of end tier T1, and then via top rod 20, plate 5 and bushing 30, lifts plate 6 up to abutment 23 of the next set of rods 20 to allow merchandise to be removed from the next tier T2, and finally moves the top plate of tier T3.</p> |
