The process uses a textile base material which can be attacked by acids, and consists (a) applying a decorative motif in the desired design, size and colour by silk-screen printing; (b) applying an adhesive layer to the other side of the base; and (c) corrosion of the unprinted zones of the base with acid, leaving the motif ready for application to the garment by heat.
