PURPOSE:To execute the cleaning of a revolving magnetic head in a short time without shortening the life of a cleaning brush by inclining the revolving shaft of the cleaning brush in the circumference direction of a revolving cylinder to the revolving shaft of the revolving cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A revolving shaft 901 of a brush 9 is inclined in the circumference direction of a revolving cylinder 5 to a revolving shaft 501 of the revolving cylinder 5. Accordingly, difference is generated between the circumferential speed of the revolving cylinder 5 and the circumferential speed of the brush or between the revolving speed of a magnetic head 6 and the circumferential speed of the brush and a slip is generated in the circumference direction between the brush 9 and magnetic head 6. Then, the slip is generated in the shaft direction of the revolving cylinder 5 as well and the brush 9 executes the sweeping removal of an abnormal substance by the slip in addition to the removal of the abnormal substance by pressure to the revolving magnetic head 6. Thus, without enlarging the pressing force of the brush 9, the cleaning of the head 6 can be executed in a short time without shortening the life of the brush 9. |
