PURPOSE:To constitute an inexpensive and efficient storage holding device by saving data of a prescribed storage area on a main storage device in a static storage device, which is backed up with a small-sized battery, at the time of a power failure. CONSTITUTION:When a power failure occurs, a static storage device 26 is backed up by a battery 23 in accordance with detection of the power failure and stored contents are held. Simultaneously, stored contents held in the static storage device 26 are saved in a CMT 27 also. The static storage device 26 can be backed up by the small-capacity battery 23 because it does not require a large power for operation unlike a dynamic storage device. The static storage device 26 is used to enable access during online, and stored contents are saved during online. |
