PURPOSE:To obtain an anti-suntan cosmetic effective in protecting the skin from ultraviolet ray, having good usability, giving excellent make-up and exhibiting astringent, anti-inflammation and deodorizing effects, by compounding organic powder coated with zinc oxide or zinc oxide and other powder. CONSTITUTION:An anti-suntan cosmetic is compounded with an organic powder having an average particle diameter of <=1mum and surface-coated with zinc oxide or zinc oxide and one or more other powders. The amount of the coated organic powder is 0.1-60wt.% based on the whole cosmetic. If necessary, the cosmetic is further compounded with conventional cosmetic components such as fats and oils, waxes, oil component, humectant, ultraviolet absorber, surfactant, thickener, perfume, drug and antioxidant and formed in the form of cosmetic by conventional process. It can be prepared in the form of powder, cream, paste, stick, lotion, etc. The other powder to be compounded to zinc oxide is e.g., inorganic powder such as talc, mica or iron oxide and organic powder such as polyester, polyethylene or cellulose. |
