PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic giving excellent gloss and smooth feeling to hair and having excellent set retaining performance, by compounding an amino-modified silicone polymer, a cationic surfactant and an ampholytic polymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic contains (A) a silicone polymer of formula I (R is H or trimethylsilyl; R1 is OH or methyl; R2 is 1-8C alkyl; R3 is 1-4C alkyl; x is 4-500; y is 1-15), (B) a cationic surfactant, preferably a quaternary ammonium salt-type cationic surfactant such as distearyl dimethyl ammonium chloride and (C) an ampholytic polymer, preferably a resin of formula II (n:m is 9:10-50:50; the molecular weight is 50,000-500,000; R8 and R13 are H or methyl; R10 and R11 are 1-4C alkyl; R9 and R12 are 1-4C alkylene; R14 is 1-24C alkyl; A is O or NH). The amounts of the components A, B and C in the whole cosmetic are preferably 0.5-5wt.%, 0.05-2wt.% and 0.5-2wt.%, respectively. |
