CABLE CORE SWITCHING METHOD

PURPOSE:To synchronize easily and reliably, by measuring the time until executing switching after receiving of a signal for starting switching of core wires, then correcting the difference of the necessary time and thereafter performing synchronization. CONSTITUTION:Switching devices A, B insert a connector 12B or 12C into a sleeve 14 based on a switching start signal Sr fed from a CPU 13. Consequently, outputs from a photoelectric converter O/E are detected through a timer means 15. Response times for respective switching devices A, B are detected based on these signals Sr, Sa, Sb. The switching devices A, B are arranged at switching points PA, PB while a new line 6 is installed in parallel with an existing line 2 and connectors are fixed to the opposite ends thereof. A CPU in the switching device A compares response times of the switching devices A, B and sets the difference as an operational delay time after provision of a switching start command into a switching device B. Consequently, switching operation of the switching devices A, B finishes simultaneously.
