A mixer tap has a core mounted to turn about two different axes in a unitary plastic casing overmoulded on it, connections between the casing and two inlet pipes and one outlet pipe, interconnected passages through the core connecting the outlet to each of the inlets, so that turning the core about one axis increases the effective section of one passage while reducing that of the other, and turning the core about the other axis chamges the total effective section of the passages, and a handle allowing the core to be turned about both axes. The core is pref. of aluminium, polyamide, or polytetrafluoroethylene, the casing is pref. of polyoxymethylene or polytetrafluoroethylene.
