A mixing system (2) receives hot and cold water via tubes (4,6) and generates a control output via a third tube (8) that has a temperature sensor (10) providing an input to a control unit (14). An actuator (26) is coupled to the mixing valve and this responds to a command from the controller. Input units for selection and operation purposes are provided (18,19) that have plus and minus buttons (30,31) for increase or decrease in temperature. Additional push buttons (47,48) can be used to select actuation of pumps (A,B) that deliver water to bathroom equipment.
