The oscillation sensor (12) allows the detected vibration of the instrument body to be converted into electrical signals for subsequent amplification. The sensor (12) is attached to the sound post (10) extending perpendicularly between the belly (1) and base (2) of the instrument adjacent the bridge (7) and is coupled to a pin connector socket at the end of the instrument via an intermediate cable (15). Pref. the sensor (12) uses a piezoelectric cell (13) which is enclosed by a screening cylinder (14) preventing interference vibration, e.g. caused by the breathing or bowing. USE - Providing output sufficient in power to match other electronic instruments.
