<p>PURPOSE:A crumb-like hydrogenated derivative of a block copolymer with a specific structure is impregnated with a specific amount of nonaromatic softening agent for rubber which is in the form of liquid by cooling below a specific temperature to produce a novel elastomer composition with high flexibility and thermal aging resistance. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of crumb-like (porous particles of less 20mm. particle sizes like crums) hydrogenated derivative of a block copolymer represented by the formula: A-(B-A)n (A is polymer block of monovinyl-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon; B is elastomeric polymer block from conjugate diene; n is 1-5) are combined with 80-300, preferably 100-200pts.wt. of a nonaromatic rubber softening agent such as mineral oil or a synthetic resin, when necessary, further an olefinic polymer or another synthetic rubber and they are brought into contact with each other at a temperature lower than 150 deg.C, preferably lower than 100 deg.C for about 10-15min to effect complete impregnation. The resultant composition is injected into a molded product.</p> |
