The subject of the present invention is a reel with automatic line recovery which is fixed into the butt of a fishing rod. This reel consists of a spool 3 which is joined using the spindle 13 to an elastic element 10 included in the tube 12. This element, firmly joined to the tube 12 at one of its ends using the plug 14, is twisted at its other end by rotation of the spool 3 when the line is paid out. The spring 5 and toothed wheel 7 click system which allows rotation in the direction of paying out the line can be unblocked by using the trigger 11 which moves the spindle 13 and spool 3 assembly by means of the line 16 and the cam 4. The spool is thus free to rotate and the line is rewound. This reel is noteworthy in that it combines the mechanical assembly in a casing whose extraction from the cover 2 allows access to all the elements. <IMAGE>
