This burner comprises a combustion plate 102 having peripheral and lower surfaces 103, 104 provided with openings 105 for blowing gasified fuel. The plate 102 is in a combustion cylinder 101 and forms peripheral and lower gas chambers 106, 107 communicating with one another. A plate 110 divides the lower gas chamber 107 between the first and second sections 107a and 107b. The open internal peripheral end 108 of the first section 107a communicates with an open axial end of an element 109 for gasifying fuel rotating in the cylinder 101. The plate 110 forms an annular channel 111 at the location where the chambers 106, 107 communicate with one another, the gasified air-fuel mixture penetrating into the first section 107a is divided at the location of the channel 111 into two flows one of which is directed towards the second section 107b and the other towards the peripheral gas chamber 106. <IMAGE>
