The invention relates to a turbine device for atomising a liquid, optionally charged, into a hot gas. The device comprises a hollow turbine disc 1, suitable for receiving, in its internal space 3, the said liquid and provided on its periphery with orifices 6 through which the liquid is ejected under the effect of the centrifugal force while the disc is rotating, cooling and scavenging air being blown over the disc and the external surface of the lower part of the device being in contact with the hot gas. The device is characterised in that it comprises means 7 for thermal insulation between the internal bottom surface of the disc 1, in contact with the said liquid, and the lower external surface 8 of the device. The device can be used for the drying of certain products and for the treatment of contaminated gases. <IMAGE>
