<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a clutch device and make it compact by placing sprags in the reverse directions, composing a holder from two members, one of which is mounted on an internal member and the other of which is connected to a torque transmission shaft, and placing a torque setting resilient member between the torque transmission member and the internal member. CONSTITUTION:Sprags 24 and 24' are mounted in the normal and reverse positions as to be wedged to each other in both the normal and reverse directions and a holder 23 is mounted as to make no relative turning action by a pin 33. Another holder 23' is connected to a torque transmission shaft 30 and said shaft 30 is engaged with the internal member 22 with a clearance formed in the turning direction. The clearance in the turning direction is adjusted to go to the neutral position and a torque setting resilient member 40 which is subject to the resilient deformation with the torque in excess of the specified torque until said shaft 30 and the internal member 22 have no clearance is put between the torque transmission shaft 30 and the internal member 22. The sprags 24 and 24' put inside the holder in the neutral position are inhibited to make wedge engagement with their engagement faces.</p> |
