<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing process of the title device by forming signal electrodes in the longitudinal direction of respective strip panels, forming scanning electrodes in the transverse direction of the respective strip panels, and providing scanning signal generating circuits at the respective strip panels. CONSTITUTION:Many picture element electrodes 23 are formed at three rows in the longitudinal direction on a strip glass electrode substrate 21, and scanning electrodes are formed in the transverse direction. The both edge surfaces in the longitudinal direction are sealed with filling adhesives, liquid crystal 31 is injected into a cell cap, and a strip liquid crystal display panel 20 is formed. In such a liquid crystal display device, by a shifting register 27 provided at every strip liquid crystal display panel 20, scanning is carried out at every panel 20, and the shifting register 27 can be formed by approximately the same manufacturing process with the switching element 24. On the other hand, since the process to connect the many scanning electrodes with a driving circuit outside the panel, the manufacturing process is simplified.</p> |
