<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorizing filter adoptable to an air conditioner using a low static pressure fan by packing freely movably a granular material impregnated with a flavonoid in a coarse part of a cloth having coarse parts and dense parts in its thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:A cloth consisting of nonwoven cloth 1 comprising polypropylene fiber is constituted of coarse parts 2 having large voids and dense parts 3 having small voids integrally in its thickness direction. Porous granules 5 comprising polyacetate having a smaller particle size than the diameter of the coarse void 2 and a larger particle size than the diameter of the dense void 3 and impregnated with a flavonoid are packed freely movably in the coarse part 2 of the nonwoven cloth 1. Obtd. deodorizing filter is housed in a cabinet of an air conditioner, etc., in such a manner that the coarse parts 2 are brought to the upstream side of ventillation. When the air conditioner is operated, the granules 5 are moved freely by the air passing through the filter, and the flavonoid molecules on the surface of the granules 5 are allowed to contact with contaminated air. Malodorous molecules are enclosed by the clathrating effect of the flavonoid molecules, thus deodorization of air is attained.</p> |
