PURPOSE:To correct the position and the height of a regenerative element and to automatically control the element by controlling the position of the regenerative element so that a detection result by means of two detecting elements may be identical. CONSTITUTION:Two position detecting electrodes Ec1 and Ec2 of the regenerative element provided at a regenerative element RH are provided at an arrangement interval which is slightly larger than the pitch of recording traces tp and tp of a recorded position reference signals. Further, the output voltages from the electrodes Ec1 and Ec2 are subtracted by a subtractor, a tracking error signal is generated, they are added to the tracking control system of the regenerative elements, and thus, the difference between the output voltages from the two electrodes Ec1 and Ec2 is always at zero. Consequently, the position of the condition regenerative element RH, which the regenerative element RH always correctly traces to the recording trace of an information signal, can be controlled. |
