PURPOSE:To improve durability of record stored in a recording sheet, by incorporating a coloring matter fixing agent in a receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal receiving sheet is used in combination with a thermal transfer sheet having a dye layer comprising a dye capable of being transferred through thermal melting or sublimation, and is provided on a sheet-shaped base with a receiving layer for receiving the dye transferred from the thermal transfer sheet, the receiving layer having a coloring matter fixing agent. The coloring matter fixing agent is remarkably effective when it is a polymer coloring matter fixing agent which has a tertiary amino group, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring part or a quaternary cationic group thereof. The molecular weight of the coloring matter fixing agent is suitably 1000-1000000, and the coated amount of the fixing agent is suitably 0.2-15g/m<2>. When the coloring matter fixing agent is used in combination with a synthetic resin, it is preferably used at a (fixing agent)/(synthetic resin) ratio of 10/90-100/0. When the thermal transfer recording sheet having the receiving layer comprising the coloring matter fixing agent is used, a clear record an be obtained which involves little bleeding and is improved in durability during storage. |
