The process disclosed consists in mixing different powder paints composed of various binder systems. By non-intimate mixing (i.e., in the solid state, not in the fused state) of a powder paint consisting of a heat-hardenable binder system with one or more powder paints consisting of one or more different heat-hardenable or thermoplastic binder systems, films with a uniform matt or satin finish after stoving, possessing excellent chemical and mechanical resistance, and suitable for decorative surfaces can be obtained.
