A hydrostatic axial piston engine, in particular for a motor vehicle gearbox with power split, comprises a preferably interlocking holding device (40; 75) and a spring-loaded stabilizing device for the cylinder block (2) which is actuated by springs (24). The holding device (40; 75) has an accessory device for hydraulic and/or spring-assisted reinforcement of the holding forces. The stabilizing device for the cylinder block (2) has an additional hydraulic device for additional reinforcement of the stabilizing forces. The holding and stabilizing forces are automatically adapted to the various operating and load conditions with a view to improving the efficiency. An automatic adjustment device for the valve plate (31) ensures automatic adjustment of the valve plate (31) independent of the load or adapted to the operating conditions, also with a view to improving the efficiency and reducing engine noise. |
