PURPOSE:To give powerful jet energy to ink and thereby perform high-quality printing on a recording medium by donating to ink droplets the energy to cause said droplets to be sent flying by using a magnetic field generation means. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 14 with a core 12 and a coil 13 wound up by the former is provided as a magnet generation means in front of the jet nozzle 11a of a nozzle 11, and the coil 13 of superconducting material generates a powerful magnetic field. If a pulsed current is applied to the coil 13, a magnetic field generates accordingly around the magnet 14 to allow magnetic ink 15 provided in the internal space of the nozzle 11 to be attracted through a jet nozzle 11a by the magnetic field of the magnet 14. This attracted ink is sent flying forward by a surface tension in the form of cubic ink droplets. If a recording medium 16 such as paper is allowed to intervene between the nozzle 11 and the magnet 14, the ink droplets collide on the medium 16 to provide desired recording. |
