<p>An apparatus for weaving patterned textiles on a loom wherein the pattern is controlled by selector bars (10) to select a particular coloured thread, the bars being movable to one of a plurality of discrete positions, characterised in that one or more electromagnets (26) is provided to act directly on each selector bar in order to move it. No mechanical link is needed between the electromagnet and the bars and so the power requirements (and heat dissipation) is very low.</p> |
