<p>A device for clamping a wire rod, in the hollow spindle (1) of which are mounted a first (2) and a second (3) collet provided each with its own clamping drive (5, 6) ensuring independent axial movement of one collet (3) in relation to the other collet (2). The drive (5, 6) of each of the collets (2, 3) is mounted inside the spindle (1) and is so designed that the axial forces appearing at the moment of clamping the wire rod (4) are oriented in the opposite directions.</p> |
