The invention relates to a pull-action clutch release bearing which is intended, in particular, for operating clutches of lorries and tractors. The said release bearing consists of a single-row radial angular contact ball bearing, the inner race of which is in contact with the clutch diaphragm by means of the back-up ring. The object of the invention is, by simple means, to avoid the slip between the inner race of the bearing and the clutch diaphragm, to avoid the occurrence of wear and contamination and to eliminate overheating of the bearing. The invention consists in the arrangement, on the bearing side, between the diaphragm and the inner race of the bearing, of an auxiliary spring which, on the one hand, engages by means of at least two outer projections in gaps between the fingers of the diaphragm and, on the other hand, engages by means of at least two inner projections in grooves formed on the outer surface of the inner race of the bearing, the projections forming with the longitudinal axis of the bearing an angle which is smaller than 90@.
