摘要 The invention relates to a process for producing steel filaments which are used as matrix material for high-gradient magnetic fields, in particular for the precipitation of fine- or very fine-grained substances having weakly paramagnetic properties. The process according to the invention is designed in such a way that a strip steel of ferritic, corrosion-resistant chromium steel in the composition of 0.08-0.1% of C, 16-18% of Cr, Ti < 0.01% and having an HV 30 hardness of 185-200 kp/mm<2> and an elongation at break of 26-28% is worked off at a cutting speed of 15-18 m/min and an advance of 0.03-0.1 mm/revolution. A further characteristic of the solution is that the tool cutting angle is held in a range of 75-82@. <IMAGE>
