Waste landfill in terraced cavern construction, also as a twin cavern, bentonite being added to the slag concrete and the domestic refuse being stored as compressed bales. Sewage sludges treated with burnt lime (CaO) and then pelleted as an aggregate are added to a mixture of filter dust gypsum or cement and water, which mixture is then introduced into a cavern.
