<p>PURPOSE:To make a structure more compact as a whole by forming a shield to cover edge part of an including cylinder along the circumference of the supporting end part of an arc extinguishing chamber except for a connecting conductor for restricting concentration of an electric field at the supporting part of the arc extinguishing chamber to the insulating cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A shield 8 is formed protruding at the end part of an arc extinguishing chamber 3 facing an insulating cylinder 4 to cover the circumference of the insulating cylinder 4. The shield 8 is formedalong almost all the circumference of the end part of the arc extinguishing chamber 3 to cover almost all the circumference of the insulating cylinder, and a connecting conductor 5 is provided protruding in a position where the shield 8 is disconnected inclined to cover the end part of the insulating cylinder 4 facing it. At the position where the shield 8 is disconnected, therefore, the connecting conductor 5 acts as a shield to restrict an electric field value sufficiently. Because it becomes possible to put the connecting conductor 5 closer to the supporting insulating cylinder 4, the size of the arc extinguishing chamber 3 for the length can be reduced. The whole structure can thus be more compact.</p> |
