发明名称 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INCREASING STRENGTH OF COMPRESSED MOLDED GLASS BATCH
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the production cost of a briquet batch by bonding the particles of a glass raw material with adhering force of a pressure-sensitive adhesive and also compression-molding them, and then allowing the pressure- sensitive adhesive incorporated in the molded article to react with CO2. CONSTITUTION:Both a conveyor 12 for carrying briquet batchs 15 and a gaseous CO2 feed pipe 16 are provided to the inside of a drying oven 11. A glass raw material is previously coated with the thin film of a pressure-sensitive adhesive such as caustic soda. The particles are bonded by adhering force of the pressure- sensitive adhesive and the briquet batchs 15 are compression-molded and carried into the drying oven 11 by the conveyor 12. High-temp. waste gas contg. CO2 is fed through the feed pipe 16 and circulated and the strength of the briquet batchs 15 is increased by reaction of the pressure-sensitive adhesive and CO2. The drying cost is substantially reduced because high temp. of waste gas and CO2 are utilized and the cost of equipment is reduced by simplification of the equipment. Therefore, the production cost of the briquet batchs 15 is reduced.
