PURPOSE:To enable easy formation of a bicolor image by using ink containing a cross-linking structural material, and a coloring agent whose color tone changes by application of thermal energy and electric energy, and making a combined use of a thermal energy application means and an electric energy application means. CONSTITUTION:Liquid ink containing a cross-linking structural material, a coloring agent whose color tone changes by application of thermal energy and electric energy. If an ink transport roller 1 rotates, the ink 2 is transported on the surface of the roller 1, in a specified layer thickness, by a coating means 5. The laminated ink 2 is selectively given thermal energy by an application means 10 in accordance with an image signal, and a color tone-changing viscous ink image 2a formed on the surface layer part of the ink 2 is transferred ton intermediate transfer roller 15. The viscous ink image 2b to which electric energy is given by an application means 20 is transferred to an intermediate transfer roller 25. The ink images 2a, 2b are transferred to a recording medium 40. Consequently, mutlicolor recording is provided and a multi-color image is obtained with a simple configuration of components. |
