PURPOSE:To prevent clogging in a medium to be recorded by transporting fluid ink using an ink transport means, applying energy to ink in accordance with an image signal, and peeling apart a recording medium from the ink. CONSTITUTION:If a recording start signal is entered, an ink transport roller 1, a coating roller 4, and transport rollers 8a-8d rotate respectively by input of a recording start signal, forming an ink layer on an ink transport roller 1. At the same time, recording paper 7 is transported. Next, if the tip of the recording paper 7 comes to the position of a regist sensor 12, the transport of the recording paper 7 once stops and an ink image 2a is formed on an ink layer by energization for recording of a recording head 5 in accordance with an image signal. At the same time, the recording paper 7 is synchronously transported so that the tip of the recording paper 7 reaches a pressure contact part, when the tip of an ink image 2a reaches a pressure contact part with a transfer roller 6, simultaneously with the formation of an image. Thus the ink image 2a is transferred to the recording paper 7. The transferred recording paper 7 is separated from the ink layer along the entire surface R14a of a peel-off plate 14 and then is transported to the direction of the transport rollers 8a, 8b. |
