<p>A method of increasing animal performance (e.g. weight gain or milk yield) comprises orally administering to the animal, preferably in its drinking water or foodstuff, a plurality of doses of a β-casomorphin, a peptide having at least 60% homology therewith, or a peptide having one conservative change compared to a β-casomorphin and at least 40% homology therewith, in amounts sufficient to increase said performance.</p> |
